She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Baxter Canipe and Melva Henson Canipe; her husband James Gardner Padgett; her granddaughter Jessica Padgett; and her siblings, Hazel Dills, Steve Canipe, Louise Canipe and Rachel Canipe.
She is survived by: her sons, Eddie Padgett (Joyce) of Shelby and Lee Padgett of Rutherfordton; her siblings, Betty Robertson of Santee, SC, Marie Atkins of Shiloh, Faye Lowery (Jim) of Harris, Kathy Hoyle of Harris, Virgil Canipe of Shelby and David Canipe (Teresa) of Chesnee; her grandson Brandon Padgett (Haley); and her great grandchildren, Nikolah Phillips and Kyla Phillips-Padgett.
