He is survived by: his children, Sheri Peeples of Rutherfordton and Michael McConnell (Laura) of Forsyth; his sister Fran Skeens (Joe) of Sarasota; his grandchildren, Tiffany Casey (David) and Ami Jenkins (Tom); and his nephew Adam Horak of Merritt Island.
