She was predeceased by: her parents, Shakespeare Edwards and Lillie Mae Long Edwards of Gilkey; her husband Leonard Powell Yelton; her daughter Margaret Yelton Britt; and her siblings, Katherine Justice (Joe), Thelma Flack (Jack) and Gilmer Edwards (Nancy).
She is survived by: her son Charles Edward Yelton (Emily) of Lake Lure; her grandchildren, Robert Yelton (Misty) of Rutherfordton, Michael Yelton of Lake Lure, Logan Britt (Ashley) of St. Simons Island, Georgia and Lindsay Britt (Michael Daul) of Durham, NC.; and her great grandchildren, Jackson Yelton, Ryan Yelton of Lake Lure, Naomi Daul and Mavis Margaret Daul of Durham. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
