He was predeceased by: his parents, Jennings Bryan Harrill and Ruth Bagwell Harrill; his wife Patricia Hopper Harrill; his children, Pamela Renee Ward and Doug Yelton; and his sisters, Jennie Ruth Hoyle and Katherine Earls.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Todd Yelton (Brenda) of Harrisburg, NC, Reverend Michael "Mickey" Harrill, Jr. (Sarah) of Morganton and Sheila Renee Lewis of Rutherfordton, NC.; and his grandchildren, Catherine Levesque, Robyn Dawn Yelton, Joshua Douglas Yelton, Rickey Jason Ware, Michael James Ware, Jennifer Renee Ricketts, George Jeffrey Hoover, Talon James Yelton, Breanna Bethany Yelton, Samuel Edward Yelton, Jessica Lewis Henson (Will), Christopher Harding Lewis, Luke Michael Harrill, Kristen Harrill London (Elijah) and Heather Nicole Self. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
