It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba Bridges (Rutherfordton, North Carolina), born in Spindale, North Carolina, who passed away on February 7, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Murphy and Alberta Scoggin Murphy; her husband Moody Bridges; her siblings, David (Karla Dunlap Murphy) and Sandra Murphy Jennings; and her brother-in-law Rev. John Jennings.
She is survived by: her brother Sam (Francine). She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces, cousins.
