He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Blanton McBrayer, Jr. and Minnie Hester McBrayer; his daughter Amiee Elizabeth McBrayer; and his sister Cynthia McBrayer Campbell. He is survived by: his wife Jane Allen McBrayer; his children, R. B. McBrayer, IV of Rutherfordton, Hunter McBrayer of Rutherfordton and Keely McBrayer of Forest City; his siblings, Tim McBrayer (Dee) of Rutherfordton, Gail McBrayer Strickland (Doug) of Ellenboro and Rebecca McBrayer Greene of Forest City; and his brother-in-law Daniel Campbell of Forest City. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Padgett & King Mortuary (227 E Main St, Forest City, NC 28043). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery (1850 Poors Ford Rd, Rutherfordton, NC 28139).
