It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kimberly Baker Bailey of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on September 25, 2023, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Thomas Erwin Baker. She is survived by: her parent Scottie Woodward Smith of Rutherfordton, NC; her sons, Scott Combs (Chelsea) of Forest City, David Hicks of Hickory, NC and Johnathan Bailey of Forest City; her sisters, Elizabeth McCourry (Scott) of Belmont, NC and Jennifer Schrader of Greenville, SC; her grandchildren, Scott Combs II, Anthony Combs, Zaylyn Combs and Madilin Combs; and her close friend Donald Self of Forest City. She is also survived by three nephews and a niece.
