He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Brown and Mary L. Arrowood Brown; and his siblings, G. B. Brown, Doyle Brown, Joe Charles Brown and Violet Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Wright Brown; his children, Sharon Brown Francois (Richard) of Ruth, Rhonda Brown Sisk (Dean) of Rutherfordton and Danny Brown (Cynthia) of Rutherfordton; his siblings, Arnold Brown (Audrey) of Rutherfordton, Leon Brown (Joyce) of Alto, Georgia, Lena Mae Hudgins (Wesley) of Rutherfordton, Edith Alley of Rutherfordton and Hattie Edwards (Charles) of Rutherfordton; his grandchildren, Crystal Travis, Daniel Brown (Devyn), Dustin Brown (Kirsten), Richard Francois, Tiffany Sisk and Brandon Sisk (Brittany); and his great grandchildren, Natalie Smith, Zoey Brown, Brentley Sisk and Leo Sisk.
