He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Lee Waddell and Marion Poteat Waddell; his son Michael Waddell; and his siblings, Ellen Westbrook and Dean Waddell.
He is survived by: his son Tarheel of North Carolina; his wife Lynn Johnson Waddell; his sons, Eric Waddell (J. J.) of Green Creek and Scott Waddell (Briana) of Forest City; and his grandchildren, Reagan Liles (Garrett), Claudia Shields (Mason), Grant Waddell, Harrison Waddell and Lydia Waddell.
