He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Wade Franklin Ruff and Carrie Peeler Ruff; and his wife Martha Callahan Ruff. He is survived by: his son Jeromy Ruff of Rutherfordton; his siblings, Phil Ruff of Rutherfordton, Brenda Terry (Jake) of Rutherfordton and Jennifer Richard of Rutherfordton; and his grandson Kaydin Blake Ruff of Rutherfordton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
