It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Pruett Brown of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, who passed away on March 18, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carmel Pruett and Mattie Hill Pruett; her husband Doyle S. Brown; her son-in-law Gerald Gettys; her siblings, Billy, Bobby, Charlie Pruett, Lois Doggett and Dot Pruett; and her granddaughters, Holly and Angelica Rothrock.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Callahan of Ellenboro, Debbie Gettys of Rutherfordton and Steve Brown (Stacey) of Rutherfordton; her adoptive daughter Vickie Lynn Moore of Ellenboro; her brothers, Carl Pruett (Lena) of Rutherfordton and Ray Pruett of Forest City; her niece Pat Ledbetter of Forest City; her grandchildren, Brandy Sisk (Daniel), Jessica Fulbright (Brent), Emily Bailey (Bobby Bagwell), Robbie Rothrock, Gretchen O'Donnell (Shane), Brittany Spivey, Michael Brown and Meghan Brown; and her great grandchildren, Asher, Landon, Micah, Reagan, Bentley, Sawyer and Emma.
