He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Walter E. Boone and Flora Vaughn Boone; and his son Kent Boone. He is survived by: his daughter Kym Murdock of South Carolina; and his sister Sandy Boone Smith of Rutherfordton. He is also survived by two grandchildren, his niece and nephew and great-niece and great- nephews.
