He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Koone and Virginia Killian Koone. He is survived by: his wife Joan Koone; his daughter Nicole Koone Holmes (Mark); his stepson Cary Lail (Jacqueline, Brian Lail); his mother-in-law Dorothy Buchanan; his siblings-in-law, Kay Hammond (Buddy), Joey Buchanan and Lee Buchanan (Johna); and his grandchildren, William Holmes, Anabeth Holmes, Brookelyn Lail, Noah Lail, Nicholas Lail, Kennedy Lail and Cameron Lail.
