She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Coit Carpenter Sr. and Lottie Belle Wilson; her husband Baxter Thompson (Bill); and her siblings, Ralph Carpenter, Charles Carpenter Jr., Lucille Stacey, George Carpenter and Robert Carpenter.
She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Jane Chownyk (Ronald Chownyk) of Rutherfordton; and her siblings, James Carpenter of Charlotte, David Carpenter of Belmont, Diane Blackmon of Lancaster, SC, Sue Carpenter of Iron Station and Pat Suddreth of Concord.
