She was predeceased by: her parents, James Arthur Baucom and Nonnie Vee Hollifield Baucom. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Reid Lane; her children, Jane Cannon of Portland, Karen Ligotino of Apex, NC, Laura Wise of Bessemer City, NC and Michael Lane of Rutherfordton; her siblings, Gladys Patrick of Lenoir, NC, Ruby Shehan of Marion, Annie Greene (David) of Nebo, NC, Nancy Franklin (Steve) of Newland, Mary Ramsey of Marion and Jim Baucom (Carolyn) of Spruce Pine; her grandchildren, Philip Spencer, Sara Wise, Jackson Cort and Christian Cort; and her great grandchildren, Alice Smith, Leon Lane and Charlotte Lane. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
