With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Ann Thrift of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, who passed away on March 21, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Scruggs and Morea Scruggs; her husband Willie Thrift; her brother Gene Scruggs (Francis); her granddaughter Angela Toney; and her son-in-law Junior Appleman.
She is survived by: her children, Joy Appleman of Mooresboro, Deborah Toney (Rick) of Rutherfordton, Jeff Thrift of Mooresboro and Sondra Tucker (Joey) of Chesnee; and her sister Cathy Angle (Greg) of Lenoir. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
