He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Crain and Ruby McEntire Crain; his sister Jean Green; his parents-in-law, Howard Womack and Lucille Womack; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Womack, Wilma Crain, Patrica Crain, Will Ownbey, Debbie Crain, Mickey Green and Jimmy "Shorty" Torvinen.
He is survived by: his wife Opal Womack Crain; his daughters, Roneice Geer (Billy), Robin Mathis (Scott) and Amanda Mitchell (Mattney); his grandchildren, Will Geer, Starlyn McFarland (Chase), Katrina Roberts (Ryan), Bryson Mathis, Trace Mathis, Landon Mitchell and Lucas Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Holden Thompson and Willow Roberts; his siblings, Donnie Crain, Jack Crain, Bill Crain (Sandra), Sammy Crain (Pam), Regaina Ownbey and Wren Torvinen; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Hill (Leonard) and Faye Womack.
The family requests that memorials be made to Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church.
