He was predeceased by: his parents, William Davis Hegeman and Lorene Edna Clayton; and his brothers, Richard Hegeman and Clayton Kuegler. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Hegeman; his children, Jennifer Hegeman (James Currier) and Michael Hegeman (Amelia); his grandchildren, Dakota, Colin Currier, Emma, Ronan, Riley and Grayson Hegeman; and his brother Bill Hegeman (Carmen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rutherford Church of Christ (925 US-221, Rutherfordton, NC 28139). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the Salisbury National Cemetery (501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144).
