She was predeceased by: her parent Clarence Walker; her husband Pinkney Reid Yelton; her siblings, Bertha McMahan, Winnie Blankenship, Marcia Miller, Johnie Harrison, Bill Coffey and Roy Henry Terry; and her grandchildren, Carol Renee Yelton and Tammy Tessnair Lee.
She is survived by: her parent Colleen Terry; her children, Wayne Yelton (Denise) of Rutherfordton, Carol Tessnair (Thurmond) of Rutherfordton, Ronald Yelton of Rutherfordton, Marie Henderson (Harold) of Rutherfordton, Denice Foote (Russell) of Rutherfordton, Pinkie Tessnair of Rutherfordton, Bill Yelton (April) of Rutherfordton, Charles Yelton of Rutherfordton and Annie Head of Forest City; and her sister Madge Hooks (Steve) of Connelly Springs. She is also survived by six grandchildren, fifty-three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
