She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Zavada and Clella Zavada. She is survived by: her husband Sidney Barnes of Rutherfordton; her children, Rebekah Goforth (Richie) of Shelby, Audrey Goforth (Simms Rentz) of Asheville, David Goforth (Kay) of Asheville and Pat Goforth (Norma); and her sister Eileen Zavada of Asheville. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
