He is survived by: his children, Charles Jeffery Lane, Walter Timothy Lane, Joseph Eric Lane and Stephanie Ann Lane; his daughter-in-law Nancy Elizabeth Lane; and his grandchildren, Andrew Joseph Lane, Madison Elizabeth Hicks, Kaitlyn Abigail Hicks, Courtney Alexis Lane, Charles Jacob Lane and Lydia Ann Abernathy. He is also survived by the love of his life he married.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Crowe's Mortuary (118 College Ave, Rutherfordton, NC 28139). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Crowe's Funeral Chapel (118 College Ave, Rutherfordton, NC 28139). A burial was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at the Calvary Baptist Church-Rutherfordton (224 Chimney Rock Rd, Rutherfordton, NC 28139).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis Tenn.
