She is survived by: her parents, James Wilson Gibbon and Catherine Gilmer Gibbon; her son Kenneth S. Tanner III; her wife Kathy of Lake Lure; and her granddaughters, Katie Tanner of Charlotte and Sally Tanner of Asheville.
