She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Nelon; her parents, Ancil Hyder and Polly Weaver Hyder; her sister Patti Ford; her grandson Chris Ferguson; and her son-in-law Rob Dellinger.
She is survived by: her children, Denise (David), Melissa, Stephanie and Brian (Lisa); and her nieces, Traci and Ashley. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Crowe's Mortuary (118 College Ave, Rutherfordton, NC 28139).
