He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Jackson Rice Jr. and Virginia Dare Ross Rice. He is survived by: his wife Dorthy Ann Dickson Rice of Rutherfordton, N. C.; his children, Wendy Gail Rice Elder of Fort Mill, S. C. and Paul David Rice of Inman, S. C.; his siblings, Judy Ann LaPointe of Easley, S. C. and Darrell Lee Rice of Chesnee, S. C.; his grandchildren, Taylor Breaux, Shelby Adams, Colton Phillips and Ethan Rice; and his great grandchild Josie Rae Adams.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the J. F. Floyd Mortuary of Boiling Springs (4161 SC-9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316). A graveside service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Heritage Memorial Gardens (3901 S Church St Ext, Roebuck, SC 29376).
