It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Mae (Buff) Ramsey Hutchins of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, who passed away on August 9, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank D. Buff and Mammie Hill Buff; her former husband John Crawford Ramsey; her husband Elbert Hutchins; and her children, Joyce Lovelace, Herman and John C. "Jay" Ramsey (Linda).
She is survived by: her siblings, Evelyn Bradley and Bryson Buff; her children, Bernice Kaut of Spindale, Mae Freeman (Alfred), Carolyn Brackett (Johnny) of Forest City and David Ramsey (Diane) of Sunshine; her stepchildren, Patricia Rhodes (Clyde) of Forest City and Larry Hutchins (Jewel) of Forest City; and her foster brother Junior McFarland (Brenda) of Forest City. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren, 2 step great great grandchildren.
