She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoyle Glen Bowen and Rosie Baynard Bowen; her daughter Tammy Tessiniar Lee; and her brothers, Hoyle, Jimmy and Roy Bowen.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Smith; her children, Renee Smith (James) of Rutherfordton, Angie Lawter (Junior) of Rutherfordton, Paul Smith Jr. (Selina) of Rutherfordton and James Glen Fowler (Chyna) of Rutherfordton; her stepsons, Gene Smith (Amy) of Lawndale and Rodney Smith of Casar; her siblings, Lorie Sullivan (Randy) of Rutherfordton, Bobby Bowen (Tammy), Ronnie Bowen (Julie Driver) and Jerry Bowen (Lindsey Ridings); and her sister-in-law Debbie Bowen. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
