He was predeceased by: his former wife Frances Champion Haney; his parents, Kesler Haney and Eva Holland Haney; and his stepdaughter Kathy Roark Mitchell (Daniel). He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Russell Roark Haney; his children, Keith Haney (Kim) of Forest City and Margaret Johnson of Ft. Worth, TX; his granddaughters, Olivia and Sarah Haney of Ellenboro; his stepson Steve Roark (Robyn) of Boone; his stepgrandchildren, Brook Matheson (Britt Cooper) of Boone and Russell Brown of Zionville, NC; his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Plowden (Bill) of Shelby and Rev. Bud Russell (Betty) of Vilas; his aunt Madeline Nixon of Charlotte; his uncle Marvin Holland of Newton Grove, NC.; and his close friends, Danny, Rhonda, John Davis and Averette. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
