She was predeceased by: her father Clyde Vernon Piercy; and her siblings, Joel Piercy, Clyde Vernon Piercy, Howard Dean "Pee Wee" Piercy, Richard Neal Piercy and Nancy Carolyn Piercy.
She is survived by: her husband William Richard "Rick" Johnson; her children, Lisa Shields (Chris) of Granite Falls and Barry Johnson of Rutherford College; her siblings, Kenneth Piercy (Bea) of Connelly Springs, Garry Piercy (Jenny) of Hickory, Barbara McGee of Nebo, Gaynell Donnelly (Gary) of Rutherford College, Lucy Cagle of Rutherford College and Jannette Moore (Wade) of Morganton; her grandchildren, Bo Johnson (Caylon), Carissa Sigmon (Cobie) and Nicholas Shields; and her great grandchildren, Lainey Beth, Emily, Lainey Marie, Taylin, Evan, Keagan, Rowen and Ryker. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
