It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Ray Smith of Rutherford College, North Carolina, who passed away on March 29, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Smith and Timey Huffman Smith; his son Jerome; and his siblings, Rita Beane, Margaret Baker, Kate Icard, Conley Smith and Wade Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Nita; his sister-in-law Elane Cornwell; his nieces, Natalie and Lori; his nephew Todd; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Holley, Lucas, Lindsey, Samantha and Chafin.
