He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivey Lawrence Griffin, Sr. and Sarah Causby Griffin Ivey. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ramsey Griffin; his children, Dr. Teresa Griffin of Cleveland, OH, G. Alan Griffin (Lu) of Valdese, NC and Lisa Ivy Griffin of Nebo, NC; his grandchildren, Sarah Margaret Griffin of Winston Salem, NC and Ivey Lawrence Griffin, II of Raleigh, NC; his sister Peggy Carol Griffin of Rutherford College, NC; and his sister-in-law Joyce Ramsey Mahaffee of Valdese, NC. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A private service due to the pandemic for family and close family friends will be held.
