She was predeceased by: her son Kenneth Douglas "Doug" Burns; and her siblings, Snookie Davis, Alton Davis, Donald Davis, Wilson Davis, Margaret Cruise and Jean Hensley.
She is survived by: her sister Julia Terry of Rich Acres, VA; her sons, Johnny Ray Burns (Gloria) of Safety Harbor and Michael D. Burns (Nancy) of Rutherford College; her grandchildren, Myles Burns (Kim) of Granite Falls, Amanda Smith (Jesse) of Icard, Kimberly Burns of Rutherford College and Kristin Burns of Safety Harbor, FL; and her great grandchildren, Clayton James, Lylah Ledford of Rutherford College, Allison Burns, Karaleigh Burns, Anna Burns, Miley Burns, Gwendolyn Smith and James Smith of Icard.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church at 704 Praley St. SW Valdese, NC 28690.
