He was predeceased by : his father William Harvey Yates, Sr.; his son Steven Daniel Yates; and his sisters, Cynthia "Marie" Yates Bowen and Grace Manring. He is survived by : his wife Bernice Yates; his children, John Yates (Dorothy) and April Yates; his grandchild Patience Yates; and his children, Angela Yates and Aiden Yates. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
