She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Munsey and Betha Naomi Reeves Richardson; and her husband Alvin "Al" Mathis Sutphin. She is survived by: her sister Helen Bulla of Mocksville; her sister-in-law Martha Esser of West Jefferson; her nieces and nephews, Valerie Richardson, Megan Richardson, Ann Scruggs (Jim) of Statesville, Kim Richards of Michigan, Kevin Richardson of Florida, Alan Barker of Statesville and Tim Poole of Greensboro; and her close friend Carolyn Stewart.
