We are sad to announce that on August 16, 2021, at the age of 94, Theda Johnston of Rural Hall, North Carolina, born in Kannapolis, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Monroe Foil and Callie Dorothea Barger Foil; her husband James Paul Johnston; her children, David Mark Johnston and Janet Johnston Estep; and her brothers, Robert, William and Gene Foil.

She is survived by : her children, Robert Paul Johnston of Winston-Salem, James Steven Johnston (Shelley) of Rural Hall and Jill Diane Johnston of Wilmington; and her sisters, Pat Conner, Nancy Skinner, Eleanor Foil and Bernice "Gerry" Allen. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Under current concerns with COVID, Mrs. Johnston will Lie in State for viewing at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel from 9:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, August 22, 2021.
