He was predeceased by: his mother Gloria Jean Bryant Hicks; his grandparents, Daisy Marie Bryant, Walter Clayton "Jack" Bryant, William Dillard Hicks and Margaret Louise Hicks; and his brothers, Roger "Jason" Hicks and Joseph "Ellis" Hicks.
He is survived by: his father James Howard Hicks, Sr.; his wife Jodi Roberts Hicks; his children, Brooklyn Hicks, James David Hicks and Briana Hester (Austin); his grandchildren, Bentley Newman, Briella Newman and Bailee Newman; his sisters, Becca Hicks Scerbo (Nick) and Jamey Hicks Hudson (Wesley); and his sister-in-law Tracey Jones.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cox-Needham Funeral Home (822 W Main St, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041).
