He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Gilreath Snyder and Pauline Elizabeth Cromer Snyder; and his brother Donald Conrad Snyder. He is survived by: his wife Martha Chappell Snyder; his son Gary Snyder, Jr.; his grandchildren, Chase Snyder (Erynne) and Hannah Snyder; his great grandchild Presley Mae Snyder; his daughter-in-law Raelyn Snyder; his brother Ted Snyder (Mary); his brother-in-law Thomas Chappell; and his niece Vickie Easter (Kim).
