Though Elbert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Terry Jessup and Essie Mae Knight Jessup. He is survived by: his wife Peggy B. Jessup; his daughters, Janet Escamilla and Sharon Willard (Rodney); his grandchildren, Shea Willard (Liz), Jenna Grunenberg (Chris), Adam Mills (Amber), Ashleigh Long (CJ) and Jessica Newsome (Cody); and his sister-in-law Barbara Jessup. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rural Hall Chapel - Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory (305 Bethania-Rural Hall Rd, Rural Hall, NC 27045). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
