It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Grey Wright Gay (Ruffin, North Carolina), who passed away on January 15, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Cameron Wright, Sr. and Mabel Hatchett Wright; her husband James; her siblings, Edgar Cameron Wright, Jr. (Marie Tripp Wright) and Cornelia Wright Morton (George Daniel Morton, Sr.); her nephew George Morton, Jr. (Lucy); and her great-nephews, David Richard Canady and Daniel Morton.
She is survived by: her nieces, Pamela Page Starr (Doug) and Jeanne Wright Canady (David); her nephew Edgar Morton (Libby); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Meredith Page Switzer (Jeff), Jessica Tripp Page (Chris Weed), Rachel Starr, Martha Morton, Cornelia Morton Poer (Brian), Graham Page (Sonia), Andrew Canady, Tom Morton, Eddie Morton (Hope) and Jason Morton (Janet); and also, Aurora Page-Weed, Wyatt Stone, Tripp Switzer, Miller Switzer, Cameron Page, Gael Page and Max Page.
