He was predeceased by: his parents, Lindsay Watlington and Nannie Watlington; his wife Garrie Ann Watlington; his son Julius Watlington, Jr.; and his siblings, James, Sanford, Herman, Catherine, Alice, Dora and Lucy.
He is survived by: his children, Danielle Watlington, Tora Simpson, Kaye Moore and Gregory Baize (Alisa); his close friend James Jones (Joe); his grandchildren, Douglas, Scott, Tallius, Walter, Danielle, Julisa and Takiye; and his nephew Larry Henderson. He is also survived by other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home (721 E Morehead St, Reidsville, NC 27320). Visitation was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church (8939 U. S. Hwy 158 W, Ruffin, NC 27326). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
