He is survived by: his wife Patricia Blackwell Pickard; his sons, Ryan McKeever Pickard of District Heights, MD and Patrick Corey Pickard of Lynchburg, VA; his brothers, Edward Pickard (Charlotte) of Ruffin, NC, Jimmie Pickard (Ida) of Greensboro, NC and Larry Pickard (Betty) of Ruffin, NC; his stepsisters, Annie Morrow of Greensboro, NC and Mary Bolden of Reidsville, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Jackie Pickard of Ruffin, NC, Bernice Brown of Greensboro, NC, Dorothy Willis of Danville, VA, James Haywood Blackwell, Jr. (Luella) of Norfolk, VA, Ernest Blackwell of Greensboro, NC and Christopher Blackwell of Cascade, VA. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Friday, September 17, 2021 from 4 p. m. to 7 p. m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. (Facial Masks are required).
