It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Walker Fowble of Ruffin, North Carolina, born in Danville, Virginia, who passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Lenton Walker and Ruby Ashworth Walker; her sister Estelle Pryor; her brother-in-law J. D. Pryor; and also Charles "Pete" Cox.

She is survived by: her sister Katie Cox. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
