He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Robert and Minnie Elizabeth Dunning Parker; and his sister Doris Hodges. He is survived by: his wife Hazel Harmon Parker; his children, Connie Chamblee and Daniel Parker (Nancy) of Roxobel, NC; his grandchildren, Justin Chamblee (Mamie) of Merry Hill, NC, Daniel Parker, Jr. of Roxobel, NC and Victoria Parker of Roxobel, NC; his great grandchildren, Braelyn Chamblee and Emma Chamblee; and his brother Charlie Parker, Jr. of Roanoke, VA.. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
