He is survived by: his mother Linda Lawson Jones; his children, Kadance Lawson of Timberlake, Tiana Pettiford of Pelham, Sophia Gallizzi of Durham and Zola Tegram of Roxboro; his sister Takena Lawson of Durham; his aunts and uncles, Louise Chavis (Marshall) of Oxford, Ann Lawson of Semora, Barbara Norwood (Otis) of Philadelphia, Elizabeth Montgomery (Thomas) of Virginia, Jack Lawson (Lenoria) of Timberlake, John Otha Lawson, Jr. (Lavern) of Durham and James Lawson of Granville County; his niece Jayla Foxx; his nephew Sam Foxx, Jr.; and his best fishing buddy Adrian "Rooster" Downey. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
