William Bailey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Bailey (Roxboro, North Carolina), who passed away on December 4, 2024 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Armstead Bailey and Sophie Brown Bailey; his wife Lucy Obie Bailey; his children, Delores Headen, John Bailey, James Bailey and Joseph Bailey; his siblings, Ira Lee Bailey, Martha Bailey, Moses Bailey, Anna Bailey, Oscar Bailey and John Henry Bailey; and his grandson Shawn Bailey.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Bailey of Roxboro, Shirley Farrish (Hassell) of Roxboro, Anthony Bailey of Roxboro, William Thomas Bailey of Roxboro and Herbert Bailey of Washington, DC; his grandchildren, Von (Aretha), Michelle, Sharonda (Brandon), DaQuan, Erika, Shaharra, Shamar, Sharif, Shamara, Brandon and Deja; and his niece Minnie Bailey of Roxboro. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; sister.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cunningham and Nelson Funeral Home (87 Brookland Church Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
