It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sterling Gregory Hamlett of Roxboro, North Carolina, who passed away on September 24, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Vance Long and Mary Winstead Long; and his brother Donnie Lee Hamlett. He is survived by: his sons, Jeremy Hamlett of Roxboro and Justin Paige Hamlett of Beaufort; his siblings, W. N. Hamlett (Debbie) of Elon, Vance Long (Linda) of Roxboro and Wanda Perkins (Charles) of Roxboro; and his grandchildren, Olivia Crittenden (Jeremiah), Haley Hamlett, Nathan Hamlett and Sophia Hamlett.
