She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Floyd Paylor and Dora Talley Paylor; her siblings, Glossie Paylor, Joanne Lee, Floyd Paylor, Jewel Paylor, Gordon Paylor and Johnny Paylor; and her grandson James Roger Nelson, III.

She is survived by: her husband James Roger Nelson, Sr.; her sons, Jamie Nelson (Mekka) and Jason Nelson; her grandchildren, Jordann Nelson and Asa Nelson; her siblings, Pearl Carver, Pansy Fowler, Dorothy "Dot" Tomasovich, May Paylor and Walter Paylor; and her niece Sharon Paylor. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, close extended family.
