With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Winstead (Roxboro, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 19, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lipscomb and Sadie McCain Lipscomb; and her siblings, Alice Grice and Gyrod Grice. She is survived by: her children, Harry Ray Winstead, Jr. of Bronx, Zelda Winstead of Burlington, Pamela W. Daye (Keith) of Roxboro and Wayne E. Winstead of Georgia; her grandchildren, Erin Hamlett (Daidron) of Roxboro, Aleia Vincent of Mebane, Camille Daye of Roxboro and Tevon Vincent of Mebane; and her siblings, Wayne Lipscomb of West Covina, John Lipscomb (Dorotha) of Fayetteville, Duward Grice (Rita) of Abingdon, Mary Grice of Roxboro and Lillian Grice of Durham. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 24th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at 3582 Virgilina Rd, Roxboro, NC 27574. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 24th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Cunningham and Nelson Funeral Home (87 Brookland Church Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573).
