He was predeceased by: his parents, John Andrew and Ruth Ann Brooks Wagstaff; and his siblings, James Burkley, John Eddie, Ivery George, Bessie Pauline, Exie Ophelia, Tessie Ruth, Thenie Mae, Lula Virginia "Jennie" Wagstaff, Esther Corine McCain and Helen Mavine Faulkner.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Daisy Ann Jeffers, Alexander Dan, Joseph "Boo-Boo" McCain, Theodis, Reverend Steven, Alfred, Samuel, Dorothy, Marvoline Faulkner, Dabrah Yarbrough, Stephanie Robinson, Sylvia Ann Drakeford, Terri Pettiford, Diane Smith, Reverend Litica Brown, Vera Ware, John Howard, Sherrod, Cecil, Tony, Anastasia, Ivery Rico, Darius and Leisa Wagstaff; and his sister-in-law Rebecca Lee Daniels. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Old Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (1111 Oak Grove Mount Zion Rd, Roxboro, NC 27574).
