He is survived by: his sons, Kristopher Demond Cates, Mark Anthony Cates and Brian Oliver Cates; and his grandchildren, Paris Cates, Daijuinae Cates, Mark Junior Cates, Nkayia Cates and Marche Cates.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Strickland and Jones Memorial Funeral Services (1810 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573).
