She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Forrest Lowery, Sr. and Goldie Virginia Whitt Lowery; her husband James Merritt Whitfield; and her siblings, Tina Westbrooks, Nettie Mae Lowery and Bernard Forrest Lowery, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Amanda W. Duncan (Kendall) and Kim W. Carver (Jay); her grandchildren, Kyle Duncan (Bekah), Kristen Clayton (Tyler), Pressley Carver and Whit Carver; her great grandchildren, Mattie Duncan, Duncan Henley, Nathan Clayton and Hallie Clayton; and her brothers, Dennis Lowery and Emerson Lowery (Barbara). She is also survived by nieces & nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Person Memorial Cemetery (3250 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573).
